The 48th KOLON-Hana bank Korea Open championship's final round was itself very competitive like a war and the victory was finalized to the 'snake' Choi Kwang Soo. On the 2nd, the last day of the tournament at Woojeong hill country club (par 71, 7,047 yard), Choi Kwang Soo competed against amateur player Heo Won Kyung until the extended play and finally grabbed his first Korea Open title and also his 15th champion title.

He went into extended game with Heo Won Kyung at round 3 with his score of 7 under par 282 hits. He could participate in the extended game with more comfortable state of mind after observing Heo's tee shot falling into the woods. The game was over rather easy and not as competitive.

This day's round was literally an unpredictable continuum of chaos that no one could anticipate the winning. Choi was at a very difficult moment where he could not guarantee a par in 16th hold (par 3), but could finally manage it very calmly and overcome a critical moment. Attempts for lay up into the 18th hole fairway stuck in a tree and was finally back into 18th hole after three shots. Heo could drop the ball in front of the green through 4 wood attempts and could chip on green on the fifth attempt, but could just satisfy with the amateur trophy instead of the champion cup because Choi had already scored a par.

Invited player Teddy Firdy who looked after champion after running the lead in round 3 collapsed on the last day making 5 three putts, scoring 77hits 6 over par. He also faced the misfortune of hitting the cup in his par putt in the 18th hole that could have taken him into the extended game. He finally had to finish the game ranking 3rd. However, though not a satiating game, Ted did not lose smile on his face and his manners, leaving an amiable impression.

In the other hand, Jang Ik Jae at the champion group recorded bogey on the 14th hole falling into a hazard, another double bogey on the 16th and collapsed ranking 14th in the end.
